ETC’s activity-based curriculum requires a wide variety of materials, and these materials must come from somewhere. That’s where many American senior citizens and schoolchildren step in. Volunteers cut out all the necessary components of the curriculum from cardboard, construction paper, fabrics, etc. Volunteers carry the educational components to India. The children in Kolkata create masks, hats, animals, birds, fish, etc. This partnership gives New Jersey volunteers the opportunity to reach across the globe and help some of the world’s neediest children. Additional volunteers are always welcome to join the EMPOWER THE CHILDREN team. |

Money donated to EMPOWER THE CHILDREN goes a long way in India, Kenya, Mexico and around the world. For example, one American dollar in India is equivalent to about 43 rupees. It costs 10 rupees a day to feed a child….only 22 American cents provides a child with a nutritious meal.
"School
Sponsorships" - EMPOWER THE CHILDREN sponsors a number of poor children in their local schools. The cost of a child's education includes the admission fee, the monthly tuition fees, two school uniforms, books and school supplies for a total of $300 a year. |
