Volunteers

Volunteers of all ages – from different countries and different
walks of life – have joined Rosalie to “empower” Kolkata’s children
so that each youngster can realize his or her potential. While some
volunteers are engaged in fund-raising activities for ETC “back
home,” many volunteers work on-site in Kolkata. Whether they are
university students, school teachers, world travelers or individuals
from church-sponsored groups, each volunteer contributes unique
skills that enable ETC to continue providing
its vital range of programs. In fact, many volunteers return to Kolkata year after year because they discover that the experience
of working with the children enriches their own personal lives.
Volunteers are welcome from the beginning of October through the end
of February.

Donations

Your
donation supports educational and lunch programs in India, Kenya and
Mexico. Children pay no school fees and also receive books, school
supplies and holiday clothes. Money donated to EMPOWER THE CHILDREN
goes a long way. For example, one American dollar in India is
equivalent to about 46 rupees. It costs 10 rupees a day to feed a
child….only 22 American cents provides a child with a nutritious
meal.
